Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
This is the working Raleigh Ascender which I'd posted about getting hold of a few weeks back.

It's a 21" frame, so a Large although I can ride it at 5' 8" it's better for someone a bit taller. Almost entirely original, except for a replacement seatpost clamp and San Marco saddle. Dates from about 1992 and British made. Originally from Bob Allport & Sons, Wakefield.

Still in excellent condition considering the age, although there are a small number of paint chips and a tiny bit of the logo is peeling. The tyres have some cracking but decent tread. One spoke is missing from the rear wheel, with a non-removeable freewheel, but has been trued to minimise impact.

The specification is:
  • Raleigh ATT 23 steel frame and forks, with Energiser seat stays (!) and Power Blade forks (!!).
  • 15 speed Shimano SiS gears; 5 x 3. All working
  • Shimano SiS front and rear derailleurs
  • Unknown 170mm square taper triple crankset
  • Unbranded cantilever brakes front and rear
  • Unbranded wheels with Impac Alpin 26 x 1.75 tyres
  • San Marco white saddle fitted - small tear on LH rear
  • Matching green 58cm wide flat handlebars with black original grips
  • Plus front, rear and wheel reflectors.
Collection only from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, WF12 (near M1 J40 / M62 J29 / Leeds / Wakefield / Huddersfield / Bradford)
