Being a self confessed dog nut, they are my pals, I honestly honestly feel sick. I so wish I'd not read that.

It always winds me up seeing a couple cycling with their dogs on a lead running at the side, only takes the dog to see something and cut in front or into the front wheel.
I hope this was an horrific accident rather than a deliberate act, either way the thought of what the poor hound went through...
Unfortunately if it was deliberate I doubt any action will be taken other than banning the swine from keeping animals for a couple of years, the law around animal cruelty is as much a joke in this country as others. You only have to look at the greyhound racing industry that slaughters 10's of thousands of healthy puppies and mature dogs every year just because after breeding them they are not quite fast enough to win a race for mans profit and amusement.
(sorry for the rant, greys are a bit of a soap box for me)
Didn't look in his mirrors for six miles then.
No, I don't want him hanged, but there's a lot more to this than we are being fed - where did the part of the news item "Detectives are investigating whether the incident was a deliberate act amid claims it could have been triggered by a domestic row between the dog's owners" come from?Bloody hell, if this had been the western times, you would have hung him. Even after the law is satisfied you still want him hanged.

Are you really going to believe he drove over the pet lead and it became 'snagged' on the back of the car?
I drive, and when I approach my car I look all around for obstruction, then when I move off I am looking all round for animals/children/old people/cycles/cars - it's what we all do.
Also, I have a dog, and if it followed me to our car, it would be jumping up at the window trying to get in - dogs do that, especially with a lead on, they think it's walkies and get very excited. If it had it's lead on, why? After a walk I never leave my dog's lead on. If the partner was in control of the dog what have they got to tell us about the incident?
Or
Matey-boy Porsche owner stands to get into a lot of bother - lose job/car/house etc - so partner agrees to side with him on the 'accident' story.....?
Who knows, but I certainly don't buy it.
