Got home last night - opened garage to put bike away - smelt gas (our meter is in the garage and we'd had a new smart meter fitted last week). Phoned emergency number at 920. Twenty minutes later, bloke turned up. Found the source of the leak in five minutes (the test port). Ten minutes experimenting with alternative plugs and tightening up before concluding a manufacturing defect in the new meter had led to a crack. Fitted another new meter, purged the system, tested pressure for further leaks, and all done by 1020, one hour from my first call.

Mind you, it wasn't supposed to leak in the first place...

Car would not start at East Mids airport after getting back from holiday, Green Flag called, 39 minutes later I was driving out the gate. That I think was quality service.

Lucky you. We had our boiler serviced & the gentleman left. A little while later a neighbour reported smelling gas - it transpired from our boiler - so we ended up with the gas cut off over the weekend until someone turned up to fix it on Monday.

On my recent holiday in Scotland, every train left and arrived on time, every ferry was there when it was supposed to be, every booking had worked, literally nothing went wrong from start to finish. I was amazed.
