The times correspond roughly with current-day lighting up times for May. Presumably they are evening events involving biking home late?
Not sure about the last 3 times though.

Having looked at Humberstone Gate on Google Earth I think it may have been a pub and the white building on the corner of Charles Street might fit the bill. Can any of our Leicester members confirm my suspicions?

I stand corrected. Glad to see that some part of Leicester's history is still standing. Quite a lot of Brum's history was pulled down in the name of "modernization" in the early 60's. Would be an exelent starting point for a club ride though, I can see why they used it.
