It isn't the most trivial thread ever started.

I know, but it follows a tiresome, well regurged formula:
  • Guy on Pinarello or other fancy bike thinks he's Wiggo
  • Our hero comes along on his Triban 3
  • 'Wiggo' scoffs
  • Our hero shows him how a real cyclist cycles
  • Post detail on CC, embellishing the facts as you make out like you taught someone a lesson

I beat many people. I have not lost a race since. I nearly did to some guy on a full carbon bike. But I just nicked it.
So you don't just want to cycle home in one piece...you want to race and do so frequently by the sounds of it.

Ive no problem with that by the way but best not to try to dress a post up as something its not.

Better to post..."hey guys i managed to beat another rider in another race last night, felt awesome about it"

I was out the other day when I passed a group of tough, lean looking roadies in a small village just clipping in to get going. However, it wasn't until a few miles down the road that they passed me. I like to think that they spent the intervening time in a desperate chain-gang saying things like "bridge to the breakaway" "I'm putting out 400 watts as it is" sweat pouring from their brows as they took turns on the front, suffering etched on their faces.

Or perhaps they had to stop to fix a puncture, or went the long way.

Yeah but......

If you're slower then me get behind me. Not slow me down

Does this stand for drivers too?

I brake tested a wheelsucker and got told off on the forum for it. I am not proud but it happened and I have not suffered that fool again.

Brake testing is deliberately engineering a situation that will case a collision... where's the dislike button?

There isnt one nobber, don't get your CTC beard in a knot.

Its polite to ask to ride on someone's wheel or dare I say take a turn on the front, not harass them up a busy main road whilst dodging pot holes, traffic and zombie peds, thats enough stress without some panting numptie an inch from your back wheel.

So your response was to try and knock them off? Have I got this right? Why not just slow down and let them pass you? The response to impoliteness should be a tut and a hard stare...

If you felt you were being harrassed into riding unsafely, you should have stopped. Safely.
