Walkin' about with a head full of music
Cassette in my pocket and I'm gonna use it
Stereo, out on the street you know
Oh-woah-woah, woah-woah-woah

I do wonder about 'you've got that James Dean daydream look in your eyes'. I remember there being James Dean and (Marilyn Monroe) stuff about when I was a teenager and despite knowing who they were it meaning absolutely nothing to me culturally. So kids ten years ago, or even kids today (Taylor's version), are they going to understand the reference? They have a different context in knowing who the song's actually referring to and the ability to look it all up online so maybe.

Anyway, he never goes out of style.

Would people under 30 really not know what phone boxes or cassettes are? Still around today after all.

Do you mean the box your phone is delivered in? Or those things on the street with machines for reviving old people?

Buck Roger’s by Feeder from 2001. Only 23 years old but it references CD players in cars. How quaint.

He's got a brand new car
Looks like a jaguar
It's got leather seats
It's got a CD player
