I had planned to drive to somewhere new for a ride today but woke up feeling a bit unwell .
I'd been wanting to rig up some sort of stand for the bike in the van for quite a while so I decided to do that instead . Now I can just put the bike in and go rather than messing around .
I used a floor stand screwed to the floor for the back wheel , some plumbing pipe insulation holds it rather tightly and then the rest of the insulation to protect the frame from the bungie straps . Total cost £12.50

Oak?!! Classy!
... and quality !

I have a Citroen Berlingo into which, with the middle rear seat removed and a strip of carpet down the middle, I roll my Nazca Fuego recumbent. It sits with the front wheel in the rear passenger foot-well, the chainset and pedals adequately behind the gear lever, with 2 pieces of soft rope lashing it in the rear loadspace and it's very secure - and takes about 3 mins to do. :wahhey:

That's why we bought the Berlingo ...
