Lady Byegad can, when the mood takes her make a stunning Vegetable soup. It has bits of vegetables, large and small, and you can stand a spoon up in it in a cereal bowl. She uses a very large pan and adds liquid, swede, carrot, spuds and many other vegetables in the order to ensure they all cook, plus seasoning, herbs and plain tastiness So the swede goes in first, etc. etc. etc. What we don't eat at first is frozen and retrieved from the freezer as and when.
