Hmmm, excess starter is most excellent to make waffles or pancakes with.
Never any gets wasted here
Or discard crackers:-
70g discard
15g unsalted butter melted
3g herbs de provence or mixed herbs or rosemary
1g table salt
Coarse salt for sprinkling optional
Combine ingredients and spread thinly on a silicone mat, sprinkle with sea salt if desired, bake for 8-10mins at 160C fan, score with knife/pizza wheel, bake further 8-10 mins until crisp.
Hard to spread thinly but palette knife works, get it as thin as possible without it 'tearing'
Or use
substitute 10g sesame oil with 5g melted butter, with 6g of toasted sesame seeds in the mix, and use another 4g for sprinkling on top.
Also works with ginger and chilli, so ginger powder 5g and chilli powder to taste (say 1/2tsp, or more)
