Cars won't be the problem, but watch out for drunks heading for the last trains.I got it. gonna shoot across london bridge then hang a right, Hopefully traffic wont be too crazy around 11pm
Just follow the signs at Waterloo East for Waterloo. Not for the exit. It's a short escalator down. Turn right at the bottom and exit Waterloo at the main entrance, which is (almost) at street level.I've always used the stairs when walking but that's not going to be easily done in cycling shoes carrying a bike. Mystified how a 'short' escalator can take me down the same distance drop to Waterloo Road. I'm sure its around 24 flights of stairs. Point me the way ...
Do i need to walk down a set of stairs to get to the meeting point?? and is there anyone passing through Liverpool street station that wants to make the journey to the meeting point together to save me the hassle of mapping?[/Q
Or there's another short escalator that drops you almost opposite the Wellington pubJust follow the signs at Waterloo East for Waterloo. Not for the exit. It's a short escalator down. Turn right at the bottom and exit Waterloo at the main entrance, which is (almost) at street level.
He's there in spirit......Now that his Leggship is no longer there
Hi Roubaix, I'm getting into Fenchurch Street around 11 if that's near enough?
Don't think I could swallow that one ...He's there in spirit......
It's OK thanks - I know my way. Just wondered if you needed guiding through, but if you're OK I'll see you there! No worries. I'll slow down or stop for a minute or two at just at the top of the road before it joins the A10 that goes across the bridge if youre still around. I'll try to make 11 but i will probably be closer to 11.15 knowing my luck so its upto you if you want to make the route together.
Or there are two exits which are at street level, one opposite the suburban platforms 1 - 5 into the cab rank and one opposite platform 7-ish to the bike racks. Go down the hill, straight over the pedestrian crossing, underneath the underpass past the Waterloo Tap then right around the Festival Hall onto the South Bank. It's worth walking the last bit to avoid conflict with drunk pedestrians.Just follow the signs at Waterloo East for Waterloo. Not for the exit. It's a short escalator down.
