Plenty of coffee availability in Waterloo station if there isn't. Most of the sandwich places are still just about open for the post-pub (or rather post-post-work-dinner-and-drinks) crowd at the sort of time you'll be interested in.Is there a coffee stall under waterloo bridge at the meet point or near by?

It is for this time of the year :-)10C is quite warm for a night ride isn't it?
Not really necessary as we take the bikes inside so they are in view. Indeed unless you arrive late it may be buried under several others. You will, however, need to find a friend at Southend (unless its a Brompton). I'm available at reasonable ratesTo save me a backpack to carry my D-lock in will someone help me out by locking my bike to theirs at J31 please?
Any one offering odds on the alarm failure?Have a fab ride peeps.
Unless I suffer sudden and catastrophic alarm fail, I'll see you at breakfast.

Shame - but do say hello - its been a long time - 5 years? Thanks. Not hanging around in the morning. In fact may even bail early at suitable train station (Basildon?) as I have to get back.
Your worries are largely unfounded.I'll have a cafe lock with me. I imagine it'll be fairly easy to secure a large group of bikes by piling them together and locking the "outside" ones to each other.
The fail is more likely on my part, rather than that of the alarm.....Any one offering odds on the alarm failure?
