Are Specialised bikes worth the extra premium though??
Honest question as I own a planet x and while it doesn't grab me by the heart (quite fugly TBH) but it does fly along the road and while it is wild at the front sometimes it will go where you point it at. I purchased this a few years on the spur of the moment when the prices were good and have have upgraded over the years, however i've alway felt like I lost out by not going for heart over head.
Now while the Specialised aren't IMO the most of beautiful bikes (say compared to a Bianchi,Colnago or Deda Rosa) at least they design and build their OWN frames.
I've always fancied a Roubaix (the SL4 expert ultegra or Di2) and if the moon is aligned with the earth next year i'll finally be in a position to get one.
