Me and a mate went through one at nearly 40mph (well wobbling between 38 and 39) on Monday.

It didn't go off.

Shame - I was going to write to them and ask for the picture.

If anyone's doing the Isle of Wight Randonee next month, Portsmouth apparently has just become the first city nationwide to have citywide 20 mph speed limit, so I'm not sure if the speed camera's have been re-calibrated if not ride to the ferry and you should manage to trip the few that are there!

Point of order - there are 20mph zones in place, on the residential streets only. The speed limits on the main through routes (which are the ones with camera enforcement) are unchanged.

There's a camera near Birmingham which I've seen flash absolutely nothing at at all five or six times over the past few months. Cycle past that often enough and it'll get you by chance, just like it'll get any car driver going at or under the speed limit.
