I've had a Brompton for about two years, its a 2012 model 3 speed S,raw lacquer. The problem I have found with it is punctures but from the inside of the rim ( it's got Schwalbe Marathons on. I've had about 4. The first three, rear wheel, punctures were soon after I got the bike, I replaced the rim tape, tubes and a few of the longer spokes. I've just discovered an inside puncture on the front. Can't see a protruding spoke and the rim tape is fine.

Any ideas? ( apart from a new set of wheels)

I take it the tyre pressures are high enough to rule out pinch punctures.

Yes I've kept the pressure high to avoid pinches.

Where are the punctures on the tube? Do they correspond to spoke holes, valve, rim?

Yes, as far as I can see, but there aren't any protruding spokes or rough bits of rim tape

I replaced the rim tape on both wheels on my Brompton because the standard tape that's fitted isn't that good.

Is the rim tape moving either when you fit the tyre or possibly when you inflate it.
