Hi

I'm riding the Vattenfall Cyclassic this weekend in Hamburg and the website is pretty useless for determining what the cut off times are (see separate post).

Does anyone know the usual routine for marshalling cut off times at these events? Do they simply rope off the road at a certain point after a certain time? Or do they drag you off your bike when you go over a timing mat and they see that you are outside the necessary time zone?

Thanks

No idea how they'll organise the Vattenfall Cyclassic; but the Sportives i've been party to helping out with have all employed a broom wagon.

Basically if it looks like you don't stand a chance of making it back / to the next food station before all the organisers have gone home you get offered a lift back to the finish. Your under no obligation to take this lift. However if you don't then you will be 'riding on your own'. There will be no food stations, no marshalls on route and the finish could well be all locked up!
