us boyz use lip balms and moisturisers too you know. It is the 21st century.

Lips - just lipsil as and when needed (though we have used the stuff with sunblock in as well) but that is exceptionally rare.
Face - never had a problem until last year on tour when after a seriously cold spell (-10C) and having run out of places to camp wild we had to start using ex-soviet hotels & B&B's whilst on tour in easten europe. Ex-soviet hotels still adopt the must be seriously hot inside aproach to life so we always tried to get a room in the unheated section, closed for winter section of the hotel - achieved easily by insisting on a non-smoking room! My face issues started on the very first night we stayed inside after 5 months of camping every day, somwhere in Poland. I used an gel based cream which didn't work, and by the time we had reached Serbia, my face was raw and bleeding in places. My OH went into a shop and the women helped him out (for something for me). It cost him a fortune (£30 or more) for a tiny jar of some oil based cream which I would never have purchased myself, but it did the trick applied twice or three times a day as needed and within a day or two my face was fine again - nothing like an ex-soviet state for being used to harsh winters and the issues of coming inside during the evening/night to overly hot places - that was the key, the rooms were too hot and my skin could not handle being outside all day in the bitterly cold (2 weeks of dense freezing fog) and then the overly warm rooms at night. I have no idea what the cream is, but it worked. Research online showed it was a common problem aparently, and water based gels are useless against it. My skin was lovely and soft afterwards and soon quite happy with the routine. I wasn't. I have never had make-up and rely completely on my skin sorting itself out... I still have about half that jar, so guess the finances worked out ok - it went a very long way indeed!

That's true, some men groom more than we do and they never seem to use the cheap stuff......

Look for berts bees lip balm. It actually helps stop your lips chapping easily in the first place I find.
Unlike Vaseline et al which just alleviates the problem for a bit.

I think what helps with Vaseline though is the fact that it stops me from licking my lips while cycling (which makes things so much worse), as it tastes horrible and leaves a slimey film on your tongue. Bert's Bees is lovely for everyday use and I agree about it being a treatment to prevent sensitivity..

When are you going to change the title to let men can join in, you could post this on a feminist website if you want to exclude the male gender.
