Nice jacket Accmeister ...

I bought one in the early spring sales. It was more a winter one, being made out of thick corduroy. I could've kept it to wear in the autumn, but to be honest it was a bit 'old man(ish)' looking when on. Yes,i know i'm not a spring chicken, but even so it made me feel oldish wearing it,so i bought this online instead.

Notice the label's still attached. It's just a quirk of mine keeping labels attached, till I have to wash items and the labels have to be cut off.......and saved!

In a kitchen drawer. :secret:

Skipping through pop up on my laptop ads i decided to have a look at these trainers.

I then decided not to bother after seeing this picture in the ad.

What's wrong with it some of you may ask.🤔 Someone has to sit on that bench after he's had his feet on it! 🧐 You'd expect such behaviour from someone who'd wear chavvy Nike trainers for example, but not from someone wearing those trainers! 🧐

I've decided against the retro 1990's Diadora trainers. Maybe they are a bit too young for me and besides,i have many colourful trainers that i hardly wear. Instead i'm thinking of buying a pair of more formal boat shoes. I like the look of Sperry deck/boat shoes. They are supposedly the original boat shoe.

I have my eye on two pairs. One Sperry the other Herring. One white canvass, the other brown leather and more an autumn/winter shoe than a spring/summer shoe.

It looks like the company have a very good returns policy,https://www.herringshoes.co.uk/returns.php so maybe i'll order both, try them on then decide which to keep. Then again i might like both and keep both pairs.🤔

Blimey @Accy cyclist you've got a big collection of civvies ! MrsF went mad with me last week (same every week). Packed for 4 days at the caravan, and I've two bags of cycling kit, 3 pairs of cycling shoes, 3 lids, and a small bag with 'civvies', oh and a full bike toolkit - there wasn't much room in the boot for her stuff.

I've clearly got it the wrong way round.

Sounds kind of familiar. When I go off to the mainland I have a big bag with cycling stuff and a small bag for everyday stuff.

Two pairs of deck/boat shoes ordered.

According to the site i bought them off i've saved £120! Maybe they slightly exaggerated on the r.r.p, but on looking at the same or similar items for sale on other sites,it's still a very nice saving! They also have a very good sales technique of saying "Spend another x amount to quality for free posting". I had to spend something more like £21 to qualify for saving a fiver's postage,so i only went and spent nearly 60 quid on another pair to save a fiver!!^_^

I have to applaud that technique!!:bravo:
