SRAM 9 Sp chain length... how many links?

Hi all

I've had to sacrifice one complete link on my SRAM 9-Speed road chain (messed-up re-joining it after removal), and wondered if it'll still work satisfactorily, or if I now need to buy a new chain?

Anyone help....?

one link shorter won't cause too many problems - should be ok unless it was too short in the first place anyway.

Pop the chain on the big chainring and big sprocket - you shouldn't use this combo but try it for a short distance and see if everything works ok.

If you need to, just add one extra powerlink. Some people say don't link them together so if you already have one on split the chain (again) and insert elsewhere.
