SRAM APEX...165mm Crank?

Hi,

was about to finalise an order for a ROSE Pro SL 2200 compact when Rose came back to me saying it is not possible to have this bike with 165mm crank? Does anyone know why this maybe? It has SRAM APEX setup.

I have emailed them back to ask why, but thought Id ask here too!

ROSE are saying i need 170mm for my 80cm inseam? I thought i needed 165....hmmm. I SUPPOSE I COULD go for the 170 and if its a problem, i can retrofit a 165...

Even on XS sized frames the cranks are usually 170mm. Sounds about right to me?

I'm 6ft, my inseam is probably only an inch or two longer than yours and I have the 175mm cranks. I'd say they should be fine.

You can get an Apex 165mm crankset, but there's not many (if any!) that stock full groupsets with it. You'll be fine with 170's. 165's should be standard issue for small and extra small frames really, especially womens.

Hi thanks chaps,

all the online guides sugest a 165 crank for my 80cm inseam, but Rose insist that 165 is only for very short people. I will go with the 170, its not far out.
