SRAM axs problem

First of all I’m very pleased with the electronic changing of both Di2 and AXS Rival. I’ve experienced far less problems since ive been running Di2 with my road bike and now having upgraded my gravel bike from Apex 1 x to Rival 2 x. I’m sure any shortcomings are my own ineptitude rather than the system. I havent used my road bike this year and may not until after my LEJOG finishes in June.

Yesterday about 3 miles into my scheduled 63 mile ride my Garmin 1030 plus advised both gear changers batteries were low on the SRAM AXS. I carry one spare CR2032, but have never changed one whilst out on the road and completed the ride without needing to change the batteries. This morning I thought before I change the batteries I’d just check the AXS app, which said the batteries were good but I needed four updates. I fumbled my way through that process and now my levers don’t show on the component list. They are on another screen that says they aren’t connected.
I’ve attempted to google and youtube to find a fix but drawn a blank.

Can anyone on here offer any constructive advice ?

Thanks

A 2 minute conversation with my LBS this morning fixed the issue. The pairing needed to be redone-done, but in a specific order.

Glad you've gotten to the bottom of it. I think I had a similar problem once where I could pair to the "main item" of the bike itself, but couldn't see the shifters etc. as separate items, but mine was happening BEFORE I ran the firmware update. Eventually after going through all the menus on the app and unpairing and re-pairing, suddenly they were all there again and I could update everything. I think it's just one of those things where the SRAM app is a bit weird and not very user friendly.
