Sram Powerlink

Anyone ever had a Sram powerlink come undone whilst cycling?

Cycling home last night, hear a scrapping noise from the cranks, thinking it was my BB but a couple of seconds later my chain is on the ground!
Tried to put it together but one of the pins from the plate of the PL came away? Do these pins come out or is the PL broken?

did search,couldn't find a thread on the same issue.

I've read a report on another forum of a KMC link coming undone, but its user is a frequent chain remove-and-cleaner. Other posters said SRAM's are better. http://forum.ctc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=95227

I always found Powerlinks remarkably difficult to undo, so i'm surprised.
How long's it been on, when was it last taken off ?

If its a SRAM10 spd one it is single use only - so if it has been removed before it should be discarded. Get KMC instead. Also 11 spd links are single use too.

less than a month, never taken it off...mainly concerned the pin came out of the PL.

It's a 9 speed chain

It's easy to slightly mis-fit a powerlink if you're not careful. Don't ask me how I know.
