There's a
whole new series of Red Dwarf coming. I'm hoping it is going to be better than the Back to Earth mini series, which whilst watchable it was, top of its game it wasn't.
I quite enjoyed both Star Wars and Star Trek when I was younger. I grew up on TNG, TOS and the first 6 Trek films. Similarly I must have watched Wars numerous times. I kind of lost interest in both around the time DS9 came on the scene.
Oddly enough, the revivals of the series intrigue me. I have great hopes for the new Trek films, instantly forgettable the plot of the first one was, it was a fun roller coaster. Similarly,
videos like this make me want a new Star Wars film set in a different time to the original series. Oh, and stick around for the end of that video.
But my heart lies with Doctor Who. And once again, it is the new Who, and not the old which steals it, and specifically I prefer Moffat over RTD in terms of running the show. RTD tended to lean towards making every finale
EPIC but Moffat only does big when he means it. I loved the understated Christmas special last year for example, though I know it wasn't everyone's cup of tea.
