I tend to go for Pearl Izumi, Gore bike or Sportful as they come in larger sizes :blush:

Most brands are useless if you're a size 16 or bigger

I'm a road cyclist though, although I guess the rules are the same on an MTB

Thank you. I will give them a try. Used the boyfriends shorts last weekend. They did the job but would be lovely to have my own

I wouldn’t wear someone else’s padded shorts as they should be worn commando even if it were the boyfriend

Bit depends on your budget. Larger Evans stores usually have a good range although not if bigger than a 14 :angry:

Decathlon stuff is ok too if closeby

If buying online and uncertain on sizing, use a company with free returns like Wiggle

Really sorry, can't help as I don't wear padded, hate the feeling of the ... erm ... stuffing :laugh:
