i've noticed recently that any potholes marked with yellow that get filled in around here, the council somehow seem to fail to notice and fill in all the little holes around it, so basically what's the point? why the fook don't they fill them in at the same time??? No... they would rather wait for another few weeks until those holes become huge holes and dangerous as well as costing more to fill in.
and then, you find a really nice road to ride on, all smooth tarmac and no resistance and the fookin council come along within 2 months and resurface it with that shite gravelly stuff (the stuff that you think is the bit before the top coat and you wait and wait and wait for the council to come and finish it off but in never does). So i came to the presumption that it was made that way so that cars had more grip. Sod us cyclists eh? and don't bother to take into account the fact that lorry tyres seem to have a little too much grip on it, and rip it up, so in a few weeks you can see the trenches where there the lorry drivers have been and lo and behold... new potholes appear!
fookwits the lot of 'em.
and have you noticed that there seems to me more of those long cracks that stretch right across the road, like there's been an earthquake, and you just can't avoid them and they get wider and wider. what is that all about? one road on my commute and it's like kerjunk kerjunk kerjunk all the way down as i ride down it. i can't avoid them. my poor bike
