The steel aficiniados say steel is real, the ride quality is unmatched. I do not dispute this but if steel is that good, then what's the need for a carbon fork?
Cheaper than a Steel one.
I have this idea of a steel bike melting in the heat. Probably never happen mind you.I have this idea of a carbon fork shattering into a cloud of dust upon hitting a pothole and I cannot shake it. Probably would never happen but prefer a steel fork on a steel bike.
Why then are the cheapest bikes fitted with a steel fork?Cheaper than a Steel one.
a) there is steel and there is steelWhy then are the cheapest bikes fitted with a steel fork?

Carbon gives a plusher ride.
