If you're thinking of going to Evans, if you have any Tesco coupons at all, they can be used to get a voucher code which doubles up the amount you've 'cashed in' in coupons (ie £2.50 worth of Tesco coupons = £5 of Evans purchase price). You can use it on any item, even those which are already reduced. You need to trade your Tesco coupons in before the 31st July, but then have up to two years to 'spend' them:

I didn't particularly like my experience of shopping at Evans when I bought a bike there last year, but I have to admit I took advantage of this deal and treated myself to a nice new handlebar bag.
 
How about a Dahon Ciao? They ride really nicely and have the benefit of being super easy to transport.

I have a vita. Done a few thousand miles on it over the last couple of years, and its a good little bike. Plenty of gears for hills, a nice ladies specific saddle, comfy grips. My only gripe is I find it too short sometimes and mine is a large.
Also, the dropped bar isn't quite step through enough when wearing skirts.
