Sti adjusting bosses

anybody know if the down tube bosses on newer frames that atre used for sti's adjusters are the same size for the old downtube gear lever bosses . as being a dinosour i cant use sti's and prefer down tube gear levers ...................

so if the Down tube bosses are for STI/Campag cable adjusters , Shimano exage levers might fit
