It's never been in Bristol.

"Stoke Gifford Parish is located in the north of Bristol"
It's never been in Bristol.
It's factually incorrect. Stoke Gifford is in South Gloucestershire. If you'd been there, you'd know why they are pretending to be in Bristol.
What did you bring football into the discussion then?I wouldn't know, I've no interest in football, just so long as it's kept away from where I am.
I think you'd find that if a football team wanted to have regular matches in the park the council might well have something to say about it.
No Brian Allison ... I'm sure he has cropped up loads of times NOT being very supporting towards cycling, and may even be/been on the transport committee ... off to check ... yes I have found his name as the Cycling Champion ... but I'm not sure he has ever been seen to ride a bike!Ernest Brown?
Need a facepalm smiley....Why not, if they are going to make use of a limited facility.
The difference is the football players pay subs to their club and when they are playing the field is off limits to everyone else. Park run don't charge the runners and everyone else can still use the paths during the run.Next there will be a toll for cycling through. I cycled through the park twice this afternoon.
To put it into some context though, a local football club pay £60 every time they play a match so should the park run pay nothing? Maybe the football club should not be paying. Also I understand that part of the run is on the grass so that could be where the wear and tear comes in.

I should point out that Stoke Gifford is in South Gloucestershire, not Bristol.
