That's what I like about CC members, a pool of knowledge, and there is no sarcasm intended.

I heard about this on the car radio.Winter 2016 has seen a big rise in people needing treatment.
BRITAIN could face a Christmas norovirus “epidemic” after the number of cases soared 40 per cent on last year.

The winter vomiting bug left 1,299 people stricken last week and closed hospital wards yesterday.

Whilst trekking through West Africa a good few years ago I succumbed to something similar.

A British nurse told me always let it get out of your system and take a couple of drops of peppermint oil in a glass of water every couple of hours. This calm the stomach and aids the cramping. Only ever use those pills that bung you up in emergencies such as if you are travelling.

I have followed this advice ever since for all stomach related issues and it works a treat.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I feel sick just listening to you lot. xx(. I must say, I have never been stricken with sickness like that thank God. Oh bugger, I'll probably get it now.

When I'm working in Africa I can't afford time off so my company's doctor gives me Rifamycin, which always works if good old Lomotil hasn't sorted it. You can't be stuck in an endless trafic jam in Lagos, Addis or Nairobi with diarrhoea.

I'm using the scotch whisky therapy. It doesn't accelerate my recovery, but it makes me feel better in its own with.

This morning lm finally feeling an improvement. Headache gone, not so snorted up, I can breathe ok and my tum feels a bit calmer, though my toilet bowl still looks like an ICBM launch pad.
