Riding over Battersea Bridge with side wind gusts and a double decker behind me could be " interesting". I will take to the pavement and walk. Maybe.

Well I start a run of 8 12 hour night shifts in 5 hours time, (well one of them is 13 hour, flaming clock change). So Monday will just be a passing blur.

Coming home Wednesday morning I did drop to 1st gear on the CX (32 cassette I can't remember the crank 30 something), on a section of flat ground ( I was completely soaked within a minute of leaving work so took the detour across open forest, flaming idiot).

Severe weather warning been extended up into the midlands now. Looks like it might be drafty in the New Forest Monday.. East bound Strava segment anyone? :eek:

All I ask is a stonking great big tailwind on the way in to work and that, by the time I've finished work, the wind direction has changed. Question is, who do I blame if I get a nasty frigging headwind?

Luckily I'm off on holiday next week so not on the bike (although it may be a bit hairy taking off from Luton airport Sunday evening!)

Take care if you are out on the roads Monday morning.

Yahoo maga tail wind home on Monday morning after a night watch.

Here follows a new Gale warning;

"Look out Gail" !

In my 'normal' place of work next week all week - well currently anyway - not sure what would be worse, east/west where I will sail one way, or North/South where I will have a sidewind the whole way. Maybe if the wind should just stop I may be happy....

I'm caught in two/three minds whether to cycle or not monday, my route has some mad head winds and crazy gusting side winds that are seriously dangerous with the road I use. Either risk it, take the mountain bike and abandon onto path/field when needed or just drive and curse every moment!lol
