Strava bike insurance perk

Hi does anyone know of this Sunday bike insurance perk through Strava?

Is it worth activating or do people know if this Sunday company is any good?

I skim read a Google found review of this. The only bit that is free is that your device, which I assume means cycle computer is insured and also you can claim a taxi ride home. For full bike insurance, the offer is for a quote.

Might be completely wrong, but that is how I read it.

That is correct.

I don't think anybody is suggesting there is any harm. Just pointing out that it isn't actually the bike which is insured.

It basically went along the lines of once you activate this "perk" you then get inundated with "offers" to take up other paid for policies for other stuff.

I think it is a way for Strava to sell your data to this insurance company.

I activated the offer with the full expectation of being spammed with offers. That's what my junk mail filter is for.

I think it is a way for Strava to sell your data to this insurance company.

I haven't seen any such offers, and I have had it activated for months.

Probably the person getting lots of them failed to tick the checkbox stopping them from sending such offers.

That's what the company is really after it's not free your paying for it via your data.

Ditto. I’ve had nothing else since signing up in April
