I had a KOM in a local lane when I used Strava.. between the three local users who went that way at least once.
I got a notification saying it had been beaten, which didn't really surprise me, however on looking it up the three locals were at the bottom of a list with two or three hundred new names on it.. a sportive had passed and used the lane that weekend.

I had one that had a male holding the QOM, complete with photo and name making me think he was male. I didn't do anything as I wasn't 100% sure, then our paths overlapped and he was definitely male, but when I checked again he had changed to male on Strava.

To be honest I wonder why it is worth it to hold a QOM and be able to say to your mates that you do have loads of QOM's:biggrin: or to cheat in some other way.

I enjoy getting home and seeing that I've got some award, but I'm also happy with the PR ones especially on busy routes.

There's sneakingly an increasing amount of "males" pretending to be females on segments around me lately, one even has a profile picture of a "man-woman!" so it's a bit blatant, surely these people have friends who must be constantly taking the mick out of them.

There are more important things in life I find. Cake and beer for instance.

There are a few good roads round my way that are used for regional and nation level racing. I often find myself zipping along with a tailwind thinking "God, I'm going really well", then I get home and I'm 393rd on the segement, and Simon Yates or Adam Blythe is KOM.

Sorry to be thick but what is that in English please?

EPO is a performance-enhancing drug used by cyclists to promote the accelerated growth of red blood cells, thus increasing the amount of oxygen that can be carried through the body, leading to a performance increase of circa 15%. Digital EPO is an app which enhances your Strava rides to a similar degree.

Yes, this has happened a lot over the last three or four years with Devon stages of the Tour of Britain...
Bloody foreign professional cyclists, coming here, stealing our KOM's earned with honest sweat and tears with an improvement of 50% or more...
