Yes but its only happened once.

Phones have something called A-GPS, assisted GPS. When Google did streetview they also scanned WIFI SSID when recording images and location. It is used in A-GPS to get a quick location by picking up any SSID in range. I suspect the SSID at the COOP was the same as at the other COOP, so Android said, you are there not here.

I have a question too.
On a live segment it’s showing me plus or minus to the KOM but can I get + or - to my own PR?
How do you change that? Garmin 1040 user.

I don't know about eth Garmin, but on my Wahoo, you just press one of the three bottom buttons to switch between KOM and PR. I would be surprised if Garmin don't have a similar facility.

That's why I still subscribe, to see my times compared to age group and my previous efforts. I think I've had 5 KOMs in past and I reckon 4 were with a stonking tailwind.

I had one from 2012 until 2023. A nice 4.4% ave over 0.55 of a mile but 'C' shaped so if you had a stonking tail wind at the start, you'd have a stonking headwind finish etc, so it was quite resilient until some one beat it by 2sec. I did it on a heavier bike so technically I'm still the fastest
