Strava to gpx file rip?

can I look at a strava friends ride and convert it to gpx so I can copy their ride on my cycle computer? I know how to map a ride out then create a gpx file.

Are you a premium member? If so theres an option to export as gpx on the activity itself (top right hand corner of map IIRC).

EDIT: Alternatively give https://mapstogpx.com/strava/ a try if not a premium member.

Yes! I should have gone onto pc instead of mobile device.

You don't need to be a premium member.
On the website, view any of your rides and the same 'export as gpx' option is available from the actions button (the spanner).

The OP is wishing to download a friend's ride, not their own. A premium subscription is required to do that.

Okay, there's a plugin here that works. The data security warning is a bit alarming when you add it to chrome.
