My brother was 'lucky' to get a new metallic green 'Chopper' when they were first introduced.
What a travesty of a bicycle, barely worthy of the name.
As has been said, there's no accounting for taste.
Even Raleigh must have seen it as bitter fruit, though it kept them solvent for a while.
Such were the winds of change.
