Hey guys, i’m considering building a back wheel out of this for my SS commuter.

Quite a specific question though,

Can you freewheel trackstand on this? What i mean is that i’m aware that backpedalling slightly ‘flips’ the gear ratios and would want to know will this hub allow me to keep pressure and thus engagement to trackstand, or will rolling back ‘flip’ the gear back and forth wearing the mechanism/making trackstanding impossible/both.

Also i run a sturmey ‘steelite' on my shopping bike and i’ve ran other hub geared bikes in the past so i know the engagement is kinda nuts. What’s it like with these hubs?

If worst comes to the worst and this is impossible have any of you guys had experience with the single speed coaster hubs? As far as i can tell there’s a heavy but dependable looking shitmano one, and a slimmer but unknown Ventura one.

Basically i’m trying to ride brakeless rear, potts mod front barspinnable/clean looking bike with a freewheel. And i don’t want to change my riding style by not being able to trackstand at lights as i ride SPDs

Cheers for any help you can give...

I've not even tried trackstanding on mine.

the s2c looks like a good idea to me but would like to hear from anybody that has tried one , before deciding .

i have a nice drum braked hub in the garage awaiting use might even be tempted to get this built into a wheel ready for next single speed just for a laugh

Barspins on your commute? You must have fun getting to work.

Is there any reason you couldn't ride with just a front brake? Or use a fixed gear hub?
