Why do the Tribans need to look so dull though? They need some designers with imagination!

I actually love the look of the Tribans. The matte finish looks excellent.

^_^ I love that look, though my wife's first comment as my RC500 came out of the box was "I can hardly see it, it is all grey and black!"

I am thinking that when it comes to change the bar tape I may use orange or sky blue to liven it up a bit.

ETA, oh, and rather than dull I would say that they are deliberately understated,.

That's one way of keeping costs down. You start having nice designs and different and cool colour schemes and that's the production cost gone up already.

I’m sure plenty of people are happy to pay an extra tenner for a bike that isn’t boring  Might even increase their sales (and profit which is the point of keeping costs down) :okay:

I'm sure they've done their market research and all the due diligence and if that's what they're going for, you can be sure it's the most profitable business model.

I think I know why they're doing what they're doing and it makes sense to me

Anyone know how the Tribans come up size wise? I am 176cm with a 30 inside leg and seem to be on the border of a small and medium on the size.

I am erring towards a small as I remember reading a smaller more flickable bike is better.

Looking at this model: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/rc-500-disc-road-bike-turquoise-sora-id_8554411.html#v2734588

Thanks all.

I have a 30 in inside leg, 165cm tall and the S RC500 is perfect for me, though according to the chart I was just at the top of the XS. Going by my experience I would go with the M in your case.
