Hi all,

I've had my shirt and (running) shorts for quite a while now but with the hot weather finally here I need a replacement shirt. The one I have at the moment is completely unsuitable (winter thermal, though it does seem to wick the sweat off quite a bit!).

I usually wear a sleeveless reflector vest on top but that seems pretty breezy without flapping around too much either.

Thoughts? Ideally something relatively inexpensive would be good. Thanks in advance!

The description makes it sound like a winter base layer?
  • IsoTherm - Our IsoTherm technical fabric has heat retention technology, perfect for insulating your body heat in colder climates
get a summer cycling jersey with reflectives ? Or a running top?

If you're not into the whole aero or cycling specific thing, just wear gym / athletic tops. I wear Adidas basics tops, they wick well, they look decent, and they're cheap.
Boardman cycling shirts are fine, I've got one. Sizing comes up a bit big.

Cripes, thermals in this weather.
Emergency action needed.
Pop over to findabargain and check out my recommendation of that aldi short sleeved top.

I thought you folk back there were supposed to be having a heat wave. My recommendation:

Any quick dry T shirt will do.

As for a reflective top. Look in Halfords for a zip up motorcycle reflective jacket with elasticated sides. They dont flap about like the bike ones.

Really, @FrankCrank how could you? Yellow and orange

Regarding the question any synthetic cycling top should wick well. I get mine from the secondhand market here so maybe look on eBay.
Or if you want new Decathlon do a mesh technical breathable t shirt for seven quid:

Or this cycling ‘lifestyle’ top for rather more:

Are you riding in the dark ? If not don't bother with reflectives.

I'm usually riding in early evening/dusk so once I have this jersey I'll probably ditch the reflector jacket until it cools right down again, then swap back to that with thermals
