Summers boring bring on winter

Cycling in the summer is same old same old. It's like having sex in the same position for the rest of you life. All you do is get hot and bothered, avoid flies going into your mouth while gasping for breath. Drivers pass so close because they seem to see you better and are more relaxed as opposed in the winter, pitch black, they slow down (well most do and some don't)

I miss, the wind, rain, frost, going down hill locking brakes up and skidding on ice, I miss fighting the wind while going up hill. I miss my bike lights.

@Soup890 not in Scotland you should relocate you will have all you desire. I do agree though when it's to hot it's a lot harder. Would be nice to just have a cold breeze but bright

I haven't taken my lights off. I even use them during the day from time to time. Very few flies around here either. I still lock up wheels because I forget whether I'm on the European-style cabled bike or the British one. There was a strong wind blowing along the Thames tonight - particularly by the O2 in Greenwich.

The only drawback that I can see is the idyuts who roll down their windows (when they have air conditioning) and inflict music whose only value to make up for the lack of chords, tune, etc, is volume. Pisses me off at lights.

Don't mind weather it's spring summer autumn or winter just as long as it's dry

One of my most enjoyable rides was last year on a very frosty but very bright and clear day

I cycle to work every day, and have to say I like summer time, go the long way to work, and the long way home.
Cycle to work in tshirt and short.

When its cold all you want to do is get too work and back home as quick as possible.

I don't mind whatever the season, they each have their good and bad bits. Prefer the summer though.
