Yes, me it shot past @rb58 and me. It was making a strange noise, not sure if it was the tyres or the drive train, different to anything I've heard before.

Maybe it was the guy on the bike at the thought of having emptied 10k out of his account.

Though on a side note. One sound I encountered on this years DD ride which i will never forget was a guy who had carbon rims that would make a sound like a jet or turbine engine winding down every time he braked.
