Was considering a virtuous pre breakfast run but I'll be b*ggered if I'm going out in that.

DD2 is poorly and couldn't sleep late so asked if she could make me a cappuccino. There's something about illness that takes the edge off teenagers, she even agreed to cuddle in and watch a movie with us last night.....although her choice was Nativity 2 (the best of the trilogy).

No cycling for me today. Will go for a walk after lunch. Will see about doing something constructive after that, perhaps tidying up and organising stuff.

Morning all. Blue sky and sun here, not sure how long for though. Mutt will be taken to stately pile for a walk shortly, once young oxo gets out of his sack. Session on rollers planned later if it rains and also a run out.

The gloom is just starting to clear here, although riding plans scuppered anyway as junior is bringing her boyfriend round for lunch so I can give him the Robert de Niro 'Meet the Parents' routine. Apparently he does trackdays so he can't be all bad, might give him a go on the sim.

Off to the garden centre shortly, seems Mrs. 666 is determined to carry on being a Monty Don fangirl through the winter. Might try to catch some F1 highlights at some point.

Morning
We have a slight pause in the rain here buts it’s forecast to start again shortly. Need to take Bertie out soon as he doing his best to show us what Spaniel madness is. At some point I will need to do some exercise.

Morning to fellow damp sufferers.

Chill for a bit then get ready to go to Murrayfield for the rugby, hopefully less damp by then.

I tested one of the Portaloo's on Friday in the absence of public conveniences.
I dare say it was cleaner and far more functional than what it will be later.
At a pub called the Torfin?

The Torfin in Costorphine? (where we are) , didnt realise they had portaloos there.
The Hampton and the Murrayfield Hotel are the ones that get really stowed out as they are just outside the stadium.

using the early gloominess to have a general tidy, discovered a carrier bag mountain has quietly developed in a wardrobe, leading to the bizarre discovery that dior/armani/d&g/bulgari/etc. carrier bags, just paper ones they put one's stuff in, go for several quid each on ebay, must be two-three hundred quids worth, still destined for recycling as i really can't be bothered

had a coffee and mince pie to get over the shock, sun is out for now, i feel a stroll coming on

The pub was on Corstorphine road, just after the roadworks on the corner of another street.
