Just nipped outside - the Moon is almost too bright to look at and you get that glowing persistence-of-vision when you look away from it. Beautiful.

I love lunar eclipses too- that red glow can be really something.

It was huge when it came over the horizon ... but by the time I was home and was about to get my camera it had disappeared.

Down in London, it had a yellowish hue when it rose - it was like a harvest moon on steroids, only about half a year late. Or early?

'Twas a lovely ride home through the back roads of Lincs n Cambs last night..didn't really need lights!

we popped out early on to see it and yes very differant no telescope so out came the binoculars for a ganda , then sat in back garden and managed to find the plough in the night sky which fascinated the daughter
