There will come a point were the RL directors will say we can't afford to keep losing world class players to RU and will reconsider the cap. Catch 22 though as there is a danger of having super super league teams that have a wealth of money and the rest mediocre in comparison. In turn makes games boring. Bring back the biff I say!! Makes a boring game exciting. Bit like the Widnes, Warrington and saints games of the late 80s

Agreed on all accounts

Its a physical game and I think it should be played as such

I don't understand taking RL forwards to RU and then playing them as a centre. It only really ends one way and that's as a crash-bang centre rather than a 12 with finesse. And I think we have enough crash-bang centres at the moment. Now RL wings are a different matter and if any of those would like to join London Irish "Hello and welcome. How are you doing?"

The forwards in RL are more mobile and better suited to RU centre position rather than the pack as thats a completely different game. Sam Burgess is much more than a big hitting forward

He is and I agree he's a great RL player but just for example if you were picking a RU team is he likely to bring more to the 13 position than Jamie Roberts or Luther Burrell? And that's only including the big hitting number 13s rather than mention that rare thing of the dancing 13 like BOD.

According to today's ST, he may be played as a no.8 which would make more sense to me although again there's hardly a paucity at that position. If he wants to play in the RWC, he'll have to adapt very quickly.
