Iceland? That's one hell of a detour!I was at the doctors today, exactly 2 weeks since I had my surgery to remove the troublesome gallbladder.
I had a couple of stitches poking out where the drain was but she reckons they are dissolvable and will disappear but she trimmed them for me.
I am not allowed back on the bike for another 4 weeks
She said it was only the surgeons' skill that stopped me having open surgery and that it had been a difficult operation, mentioning adhesions etc.
Anyway, a bit disappointing, but I also know how utterly drained I'm feeling at the moment.
After hubby took me to the docs (not allowed to drive yet either) we went to Iceland and Asda and then home and
I am shattered!
Someone pass me a muffin, or a hug or something....![]()
The freezer food store, not the countryIceland? That's one hell of a detour!
Seriously, though: I hope it heals fast and your back on the bikes sooner.
It's all been done lolGet well soon, 'tis a waiting game. Time for bike maintenance and getting accessories.
They have been sitting on mine (so to speak) for almost 2 years. I don't drink (the occasional lager) and my diet has been very restricted.Sorry his is late. But i was a Postie for 34 years. So that is my excuse.
Well here goes i had my gallladder out in 2012 after a very heavy three months of drinking. The run up to Christmas,New Year, and two birthdays. My stomach just sort of exploded. So here i am two years later feeling fab.try to keep booze to a minimum,i have not had a drink since i came out of hospital.I have lost weight,
. cycling has got better and i feel better allround.Go have a look on google for other peoples advice i did. After the op i was asked to walk around the ward. That was the next day. They were amazed at how long i kept on going. In a few weeks,You will be fine and dandy.Watch the diet .You might find you get the runs a lot when eating certain foods, you soon learn which food to avoid. We are all different.I avoid cheese it gives me indegestion, along with cream and ice cream.Ah well.
