I've done a search but couldn't find anything quite like my problem..

The top part of the seatpost that attaches to the saddle seems to have come loose and can easily be pulled out of the bottom half of the seatpost. I've tried taking the seatpost apart, and putting it back together again, but that didn't seem to work.

I'm not sure if something has worked loose that I am completely missing somewhere, or if I've broken it by lifting the back of my bike off the ground too many times by the saddle. Is it time for a new seatpost?

Thanks for any help, this looks like a really useful forum

had a similar issue with mine.

Found a bolt in the bottom of the seat post tube (in the frame) that had worked loose from the rest of the seat post.

After a bit of re assembly it worked fine once more.
