Physics - two surfaces rubbed together cause friction/heat. The OP is new to this and not upped his distance yet, I just want him to enjoy that and passed on a little bit of well known knowledge, if you don't like that so beit but the OP might appreciate it ;-)

It just folks general comments 'on longer rides, it becomes uncomfortable' etc, it'll probably depend on the person/ conditions as to when.
