swytch bike battery

hi folks i have a 3rd gen swytch kit with a max battery 36v 180wh.i am unable to buy an extra battery from swytch all sold out. i am looking to hook up my existing kit to a third party battery. can anyone advise what spec i need for the battery.

According to a quick Google search Swytch use proprietary technology in their battery, making general ebike batteries unsuitable for Swytch setups.

Im looking at a Bafang hub motor kit for my relative, because of proprietary technology from some brands

A lot of ebike have a BMS built into the battery, making swaps and substitutions often very difficult.

It's often easier and less expensive replade the controller and battery together and mate them to the motor.

I think the swytch battery has the controller built into the battery making things difficult.

All ebikes with removable batteries also have the BMS (usually with balancing) built into the battery case too.
