Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I suppose the old saying is true. You get what you pay for. I think you should just go to amazon or curries and look at the spec, then make a decision based on that. At least if you go to curries you can always email the and ask questions before you buy. Good luck and happy hunting. I hope you get what your looking for
The Google Nexus 7 and 10 are very fast, very good value and they have a micro USB port.
I have had both of these, still have the Nexus 10 they are both superb tablets, I have also had a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. The Nexus' have better screens and also have little or no bloatware on them compared to the Samsung's. I believe there is a new Nexus 7 out that has a slightly better screen and faster processor. I have seen the old Nexus 7 going for about £90 used but in excellent condition on Avforums classified, a steal for that. Or you could try the Hudl that Tesco are selling for £119 new, not really sure if that is that good as Archos make it, but it looks like it gets decent reviews.

The downside of the larger Andriod tablets (10") are if you use Sky Go there is still no support for it. Sky appear to be Apple fan boys, pretty shite company to be honest not having an app that works with these tablets and a big let down for customers. I believe there is one in testing now, only took them well over a year :bravo:

As an aside, Cletus, why did you change your name from Cheesney Hawks to Cletus Van Damme, both a bit on the random side, or is Cheesney your real name? [/ot]

My real first name is just a boring biblical name hence why I possibly chose such flamboyant usernames.

Cheesney Hawks was a reference to a 90's one hit wonder that I am not a fan of/never was.

Cletus Van Damme was a name the character Shane Vendrell came out with on the tv series The Shield when put on the spot to make up a fake name under pressure, and came up with a real dumb one.

I honestly do not know why I changed it other than I really like the tv series The Shield....

Thanks for the funny comments, lol..

Back to the tablets, the problem is that only higher end ones will have usb host support built in. So it's a problem that you need to research before purchase. Should be easier than that but it isn't.

Something which may be relevant, hot off the CNET press (which feeds into my HTC One funnily enough!) is here.

I use a ToGo lead to connect my Nexus7 to a card reader to load photos from my camera SD card. It will load data to the card too. You need to get a couple of Apps to do this (One each way so to speak.) but it's easy enough to source these from the Play Store for free.
