The return was odd: It looked like the train had emptied so we piled on and found a couple with bikes still hadn't exited the train, I stepped sideways to get out of the way (Brompton was folder, so this was fairly simple) only to have a mother and teenage daughter come up behind me, complain, and push through the gap. It's unusual in Germany and earned them the ire of other passengers...

Is there something in the water? Yesterday, a teenage boy was reminded by an older lady that he needed to move out of the way for people to exit the train. Nothing unusual there: she was polite, he was polite and moved out of the way.
Ten another woman pushed past both of them as the door opened, and elbowed her way past exiting passengers to get a seat...
As she did, another waiting passenger was heard to say "Soviel zur Vorbild" or "So much for setting a good example..."
