Lovely day to commute in, national work from home day, hardly any traffic everyone working (dossing) from home. Striaght journey in journey went longer route no hassles apart from usual tosspot driving by london buses, a few sweaar words to the driver laster and all is well with the world again. Wondered alll week why speed was dropping off, tried riding hard, spinning legs faster. Checked tryres this morning pressure had gone down lol

A surprisingly fast run in in nice weather. Maybe too fast, at a pinch point with giveway markings for an oncoming driver, despite me getting there first he refused to stop. It's quite a well designed pinch point (with barely room for two bikes) and that's the first time in two years that someone has refused to give way to me.

My other daft moment was when I was proceeding along the busy main road some fellow on a bike pulled out on a bike from a side road masked by a parked van. I had to slam on the beakes, fortunately it was dry!

I was here in plenty time for the earlier train on Platform 2 (the grey one pictured below) but I prefer to relax on this one, it's less busy (not stopping at every stop) and is on platform 1 so I just wheel the bike in and despite it not having a designated cycle space the space works for me.

10 miles in yesterday, one chump chose to pass me too close, with a central reservation on his right. I shouted in alarm, he stopped up the road & explained that he could not give more room because of the central reservation. He just looked very blank when I said that the HWC suggested he should wait until the road widened out again.

And then, after I passed him in traffic, he dished out another close pass - on a bit of road without any central reservation!

Then in to Bristol city centre over lunchtime for an afternoon's training. In & out along the "Concorde Way" some of which has been closed off by developers for many years. Took it very gently on the way in to avoid working up a sweat.

Lol, How polite and patient I had to be to get the bloke sitting in the bike rack seats with 4 better seats directly opposite him free. I think he was deliberately trying to wind me up, hey ho 😂

Edit: I went the short route tonight as I wanted to get back and walk to a barbers before it shut, a double decker was very patient just up the road and I had a headwind so I pulled into a rougher section of road rather than struggle in front of them and the passengers. For the first time in over 6 months I p'tured thinking I was closer to home (it was actually 1.8 miles from home) and could take mainly cycle ways and paths I decided not to fix it on the spot and leave that joy until the weekend!
